We recognize the importance of providing robust technical training solutions to help upskill technicians within the industry to meet the growing demands of the wind sector.
GEV Group has established in-house training facilities across the globe to develop technician in-field capability in relation to blade inspection, repair, maintenance, and upgrades. Our hands-on courses are backed by years of wind industry expertise and are run by experienced technicians and engineers.
GEV Wind Power opened it’s first training academy at the beginning of 2021 based within GEV’s UK divsion. Located within the HOTA training centre, GEV Wind Power have firmly established training courses that develop our technicians in-field capability in relation to blade inspection, repair, maintenance, and upgrades.
GEV also has access to state-of-the-art training facilities at the Port of Blyth, Port Training Services, providing our internal technicians with hands-on training experience on a decommissioned turbine.
The GEV North American Wind Academy delivers industry-specific training for technicians working in the wind energy sector, including fully certified GWO blade repair courses. The facility offers in-house training capabilities from GEV Wind Power’s US Headquarters in Fort Worth, Texas.

In 2023, RIGCOM joined the GEV GROUP, further expanding our training capabilities and strengthening the group’s presence in Australia and the Asia-Pacific region. RIGCOM delivers industry-specific training for technicians working in the wind energy sector, including a fully certified GWO blade repair course led by experienced trainers with 25+ years of industry experience.
